PROUDLY Ultra-Rich Body Butter Is As Smooth As Your Grandma’s Hug

There are many things that I miss about my late grandmother.

I miss the warmth of her kitchen right after she’d spend all Saturday cooking for Sunday dinner. I miss the laughs that erupted from her belly whenever I said something silly. I miss how tall she stood in the doorway of her home while she watched me pull off in the car. But it wasn’t until I opened the new PROUDLY Ultra-Rich Body Butter that I realized just how much I miss and need my grandma’s hugs.

The latest skincare from the brand made especially for melanated babies is absolute nostalgic for grandma’s babies like myself.

Here is what I (and my five-year-old son) love about the PROUDLY Ultra-Rich Body Butter:

  • The buttery fragrance. I took one whiff of this product and was immediately transported back to my childhood. It smells so much like the 7UP cakes my grandmother baked. The aroma is sweet, yet not overpowering and that’s thanks to the expert blend of sweet vanilla and sweet almond oil. It’s just right!

  • The clean ingredients. Again, PROUDLY leads the pack when it comes to clean skincare for my entire family. I don’t have to worry about whether there’s potentially harmful ingredients like parabens, mineral oil or synthetic fragrance. Instead, they’ve whipped up a body butter that has skincare goodness like squalene, shea butter, argan oil and jojoba oil that I know and trust won’t lead to skin irritations that make us itchy or irritable.

  • The rich consistency. I’d like to think of myself as a body butter connoisseur. I prefer their thickness year-round, as it keeps dry, ashy skin at bay. However, this formula is not heavy, which is a no-no for younger, delicate bodies. I still get the benefits of a deeply-penetrating and long-lasting moisturizer without it staining clothes or sitting on top of our skin. When we use after my son’s bath time, he awakes the next morning still with the softest, smoothest skin!
